Deepfake video detection

The Signal Processing Society is pleased to announce the 5-Minute Video Clip Contest (5-MICC) at ICASSP 2021 in Toronto, Canada (6-11 June, 2021).

The topic chosen this year is Deepfake Video Detection. Deepfake techniques enable realistic AI-generated videos of people doing and saying fictional things. These videos can be used maliciously as a source of misinformation, harassment and persuasion, thus badly impacting on society. For this reason, development of robust methodologies to detect whether a video is pristine, or it has been manipulated through deepfake technologies is an urgent necessity.
